Another Japanese Gem found by my research assistant.
This fella has is own gosh darn BLOG for god's sake. he's automatically cooler than you or me. His vids are insanely popular, as evidenced by the medals "awarded" to him by youtube, and the number of views he's gotten. Plenty of other videos from this user too, so i'll probably cover some in future posts.
This video is remarkable for many reasons, the first and foremost being that this cat (although a bit on the hefty side) is extremely cute. His swirly grey coat is exotic and the way his legs splay out as he rams head first into the container often face-planting on the wall/table/whatever is in his way is heartbreakingly adorable. But what really gets me is that the cat, having no concept of spacial awareness or even basic physics, is quite obviously attempting to put a piston into a pinhole, so to speak. HE JUST CAN'T FIT. The cardboard is remarkably resilient for not being shredded with the sheer kenetic energy of the feline.
I'm not even sure what the cat is trying to do, now that i look at it for an eighth time. Like, there's nothing inside the box...there's nothing on the other side of the box...he's literally just trying to tunnel through it and failing over and over again.
While I won't spoil the ending, obviously the highlight of the video is towards the end, where the cat rears up for a super croquette 2-wickets-in-a-row move and ends up with a new belt.
On a side note, this was attempted to be reproduced with Tux and an old style box, but it just wasn't happening.
